Inventory Module - General Description (DSP)

The Inventory module is for creating and managing Inventories (sellers).

Content

Overview

The Inventory Module is where you create and manage inventory sources (sellers) in your DSP account. Inventory sources are the supply-side partners who provide ad placement opportunities - including publisher networks, direct publishers, SSPs, and other traffic sources.

Key Functions:

  • Create and configure inventory sources
  • Set up different integration types and pricing models
  • Manage targeting lists and integration settings
  • Monitor inventory performance and availability

Supported Integration Types

The platform supports multiple ways to connect with inventory sources:

1. RTB Integration

Real-Time Bidding integrations with supply-side platforms and ad exchanges.

2. Custom Integrations

Proprietary or specialized connections tailored for specific inventory partners.

3. Header Bidding (Prebid.org)

  • Server-side: Header bidding managed on the server
  • Client-side: Browser-based header bidding implementation
  • Mobile: Mobile app header bidding integration

4. VAST Integration

Video Ad Serving Template integration using VAST tags for video inventory.

5. Script Integration

JavaScript-based integration for inventory sources that use script implementations.

Audience Groups Management

Important: Audience groups are managed separately in the Audience section of the platform, not within the Inventory Module.

How Audiences Relate to Inventory:

  • Inventory sources can be associated with an audience group for targeting
  • Inventory-specific audiences help refine traffic targeting
  • Use the Audience section to create and manage audience definitions

For detailed audience management, see our Audience Management Guide →
