How to create a List (DSP)

This article is a step-by-step guide to how to create a list. The process is first to create a list, add data records to it and then associate it with one or more entities in the system.

Step-by-step guide

Navigation:

Go to Targeting module -> Lists tab. 

The same action can be done, in a single partner/Campaign/Creative scope, from an Advertiser/Inventory/Campaign/Creative create form-> Lists tab or row action.

  1. Creating a new list:
    1. Press the '+' button in the top right corner of the grid.
    2. Fill in the List's name, and select the type in the 'Create a list' form.
      The full list of types & validations can be found in the targeting module.
    3. Insert at least one data record, in the list data record section.
      This is mandatory at this phase since we do not permit associating empty lists in Gamoshi's system.
    4. Press the 'Create' button. 
    5. When working from a single partner/Campaign/Creative scope: you need to choose the mode (allow/block) at this phase, and the association will be created automatically once the list is created.
  2. Associating a List:

    1. Go to Targeting module -> Associations tab -> press the '+' button in the top right corner of the grid.
      This action can also be done from the Targeting -> Lists tab: 'Associate a list' row action.
    2. In the opened 'Create an Association' form:
      Choose the list type first, then the list's name.
    3. Now you can choose the entity type & name, which you wish to associate the list with.
    4. Select the operation mode: either blocklist (exclude) or allow list (include).
    5. Press the 'Apply' button.
  3. Editing a list:
    1. Uploading data file:
      1. Go to Targeting module -> Lists tab. Press the List data row action of your chosen list.  In the opened data screen, press the upload file icon.
      2. Confirm that you are aware that the changes in data will affect all associated entities.
      3. Navigate and choose your data file in the operating system window. Press the 'Open' button.
      4. The data file records are now loaded into the list.
        Note that the data file must be of csv/txt type and up to 10M in size.
        Each line must contain only one value/data record. (In the csv format, only the first column will be reviewed and uploaded.)


    2. Adding/removing records manually:
      1. Go to Targeting module -> Lists tab. Press the List data row action of your chosen list. In the opened data screen, press the '+' (for adding) or the '-' (for removing) icon.
      2. Insert your records manually in the List Data text box:
        Make sure to have one data record per line, and press 'Save'.
      3. Confirm that you are aware that the changes in data will affect all associated entities.
      4. When adding records: Gamoshi will update only valid records. For the full list of validations and types press here.

      5. For removing records: you can use the row action delete icon next to each record, or select a bulk of records and use the bulk removal icon. 
        To remove all records use the Remove all data icon in the top right corner of the data records grid.
    3. Editing a list name:
      1. Go to Targeting module -> Lists tab. Press the Edit row action of your chosen list.
      2. In the opened Edit list form, update the name (Name field). 
      3. Users can update the list's data records as well. The list type cannot be updated in edit mode.
