Overview

The Lists tab allows you to control both incoming requests and outgoing advertiser responses for your inventory source by managing allowlists and blocklists. This provides comprehensive control over inventory access and ad serving.

Dual Functions:

  1. Filter incoming requests: Control which sites, apps, or publishers can send requests through this inventory
  2. Filter advertiser responses: Control which advertiser domains and creatives can serve ads

This helps ensure brand safety, meet inventory partner requirements, and maintain quality standards on both sides.

How to Access Lists Management

For New Inventory:

  1. Complete and save the General tab first
  2. Click on the Lists tab
  3. Associate or create lists as described below

For Existing Inventory:

  1. Go to Inventory Module → Inventory List
  2. Click the edit icon in the Actions column for your inventory
  3. Navigate to the Lists tab

Primary Inventory List Use Cases

Request Filtering Use Cases:

  • Use Case 1: Approved Sites/Apps Only

Purpose: Only accept requests from pre-approved websites or mobile apps

Example: Premium inventory network with curated publisher list

How it works: Bid requests are checked against the approved site/app list before processing

  • Use Case 2: Specific Publisher Control

Purpose: Control which individual publishers can access inventory

Example: Direct publisher relationships with the approved partner list

How it works: Publisher ID is checked against the allowlist/blocklist before accepting requests

Response Filtering Use Cases:

  • Use Case 3: Blocked Advertiser Domains

Purpose: Prevent ads from specific advertiser websites/domains from serving

Example: Block competitor ads or inappropriate advertiser domains

How it works: When an advertiser bids, their domain is checked against the blocklist before the ad can serve

  • Use Case 4: Blocked Creatives

Purpose: Prevent specific ad creatives from appearing on your inventory

Example: Block creatives that don't meet brand standards or have been flagged

How it works: Creative is checked against the blocklist before being allowed to serve

Managing Lists

What You Can Do:

  • Associate existing lists with this inventory source
  • Create new lists directly from this tab
  • Edit list content (add/remove advertiser domains, creative IDs, targeting criteria, etc.)
  • Pause the list temporarily without removing the association
  • Remove the list association from the inventory source

Important Notes:

Removing vs. Deleting: When you remove a list association from an inventory source, the list itself remains and can still be used with other inventory sources or advertisers. You're only breaking the connection, not deleting the list entirely.

Alternative Management: All list management actions can also be performed from the Targeting Module if you prefer centralized list management across your account.
