How to create an analytics user?

This article is a step by step guide to how to create an analytics user.

Analytics users have limited access to the account.

  1. An analytics user must be associated with a Business partner entity.
  2. An analytics user will have access only to the Analytics module and will be able to view limited data - only the data of the partners associated with his Business partner.

How to create an analytics user?

From the 'Users' module

  1. Go to the 'Users module' -> 'Analytics users' tab.
  2. Press the '+' icon on the right top corner of the table grid. You will get a 'New analytics user' form to fill out.
  3. Fill in the name and email of the analytics user.
  4. Choose the relevant business partner for the user in the 'Choose Business Partner' select box. 
  5. Press the 'Invite' button.

The user will get an onboarding mail to his email address. 

From the 'Business partners' module

  1. Go to the 'Business partners' module.
  2. Follow the steps on How to create analytics users from the Business Partners module.

Reset the user's password

In order to reset a user's password press the 'Lock' icon in the 'Actions' column and give the user a new password. 

Magic link (login as the user)

You can view the dashboard as the user by pressing the 'Login' icon in the 'Actions' column. It is recommended to copy the link and open it in the incognito window of your browser to avoid clashing with your own user permissions.

Remove a user

You can remove a user by pressing the 'Remove user' icon in the 'Actions' column of the user's record.
