The Click URL macro contains the target URL page where a Creative shall be displayed.
Encoded URL / Double encoded URL
In some third-party ad servers, you need to use encoded URL (=escaped) macros.
Encoded URL
If the Ad server redirects to a destination URL/landing page, you need to use Gamoshi’s [ENCODED_CLICK_URL] instead of [CLICK_URL] macro. This is also known as an escaped URL.
The process will be:
- The click will register in Gamoshi’s click tracking URL.
- The user will be redirected to the landing/target page URL.
Double encoded URL
The destination URL value after the macro and the destination URL must be properly escaped:
you need to use Gamoshi’s [ENCODED_2_CLICK_URL].
Additional parameters
Additional parameters can be added to the Creative’s Click URL macro per your Advertiser / Ad server / SSP requests.
The collected data is used to decrease discrepancies, analyze data and optimize the fill rate of Creatives.
More frequent use will be for storing data on the site’s visitors & their devices for better targeting.
You can find our supported macros list here → Macro help.
If a macro required by your Advertiser/Ad server/SSP is missing from our supported list, please contact us using Gamoshi Help Desk and we will do our best to assist and update new macros if possible.
