Users can manage the Capping of a specific Advertiser
Overview
The Capping tab helps you control how much and how fast your advertiser spends money. Think of it as setting spending limits and pacing controls that will apply to all campaigns under this advertiser.
Key Point: All capping settings here will apply to every campaign this advertiser runs.

For Existing Advertisers:

Setting Up Spending Controls
In the Capping tab, you can configure various spending and pacing limits to control how your advertiser's budget is used.
Available capping options include:
- Budget limits (daily, hourly, total)
- Bid frequency controls
- Quality score thresholds
- Pacing and delivery controls
Understanding Capping Timeframes
Daily Limits (Most Common): Most capping parameters reset every 24 hours, including:
- Impression caps
- Click limits
- Conversion tracking
- Frequency controls
Other Timeframes:
- Max QPS (Queries Per Second): Real-time limit
- Total Budget: Lifetime limit for the advertiser
- Hourly Budget: Resets every hour.
Budget Requirements
Minimum Budget Limits:
- Hourly Budget: $2.00 minimum
- Daily Budget: $10.00 minimum
Budget Setting Best Practices:
Consider Your Spend Rate: Your advertiser's budget should be higher than their typical 5-minute spending rate. If you set a budget too low, spending might exceed the limit before the system can stop it.
Example:
- If your advertiser typically spends $50 in 5 minutes
- Set a daily budget of at least $150-200 to allow proper pacing control
Important Reminders
⏱️ Processing Time: Capping changes may take a few minutes to take effect across all systems.
⚠️ Budget Overspend Warning: Setting budgets below your advertiser's 5-minute spend rate may cause budget overruns while the system processes the limits.
💡 Pro Tip: Start with higher budgets and adjust downward based on performance data rather than starting too restrictively.
