The Business partners module is designed in order to create and manage the business entities in your account regarding analytics login, ADS.txt records, and SCHAIN value (sellers.json IDs)

Overview

The Business Partners module helps you organize and manage business entities in your account (Enterprise). Business partners serve as organizational containers that can be associated with both advertisers and inventory sources, providing different functionality depending on the association type.

Key Functions:

  • For All Business Partners: Analytics user management and dashboard access control
  • For Inventory Partners Only: ads.txt records and SCHAIN (supply chain transparency) management

What Analytics Users Are

Analytics users are individuals you grant limited dashboard access to view performance data for specific business partners. This works the same way whether the business partner is associated with advertisers, inventory, or both.

 

How Analytics Access Works

Scope Control: Analytics users only see data for advertisers and inventory associated with their specific business partner - they cannot view data from other business partners in your account.

Use Cases:

  • Client Access: Give advertiser clients access to their campaign performance
  • Partner Reporting: Allow inventory partners to view their traffic and revenue data
  • Team Management: Provide team members access to specific client accounts
  • Vendor Oversight: Let third-party vendors monitor their managed accounts

 

How to Set Up Analytics Users

Step 1: Create or Select Business Partner

  1. Go to Business Partners Module → Regular tab
  2. Either create a new business partner OR select an existing one
  3. Complete basic business partner setup

Step 2: Associate Partners (Advertisers/Inventory)

  1. Use the "Manage Connected Partners" row action
  2. Select which advertisers and/or inventory to associate with
  3. Save associations

Step 3: Add Analytics User

  1. Use the "Add Analytics User" row action
  2. Enter user credentials and contact information
  3. Configure access permissions
  4. Save analytics user setup

Step 4: User Access

  • The analytics user receives login credentials
  • When they log into the Gamoshi dashboard
  • They see the  Analytics view only
  • Data is limited to their associated business partner's advertisers/inventory

 

Analytics User Management Best Practices

  • Principle of least privilege: Only grant access to data that users need
  • Regular audit: Review analytics user access quarterly
  • Clear naming: Use descriptive business partner names for easy management
  • Documentation: Keep records of who has access to what data

Buyer Domain Override

You can override your account’s default buyer root domain by updating the Seller Buyer Domain field in the advertiser’s Business Partner Details. This field represents your buyer domain (the domain your advertisers recognize you by, not the seller domain).
Use it only if you need to send an advertiser a different domain than your account’s default.


Inventory-Specific Features: ads.txt and SCHAIN Management

Important: The following features only apply to business partners that have inventory sources associated with them. These features are not relevant for advertiser-only business partners.

 

Understanding ads.txt and SCHAIN

ads.txt: Industry standard that helps inventory partners identify authorized sellers

SCHAIN (Supply Chain): IAB protocol that automatically sends supply chain transparency data to advertisers in bid requests

sellers.json: File that identifies who's authorized to sell a publisher's inventory

 

How Business Partner IDs Work with Inventory

Automatic Identity Generation: When you associate inventory with a business partner, the system creates consistent identifiers:

  • Business Partner ID + Customer ID = Universal Identifier
  • This identifier becomes:
    • Publisher ID: Sent in bid requests to advertisers
    • Seller ID: Used in your sellers.json file
    • Account ID: Appears in inventory partner's ads.txt records

Legacy Value Override: If you have existing seller IDs that inventory partners already use:

  • Enter the legacy value in the "Seller Json Id" field during business partner creation
  • The system uses your legacy value instead of the business partner ID
  • Maintains continuity with existing ads.txt and sellers.json records

 

Setting Up ads.txt Management

Requirements for ads.txt Features:

  • A business partner must have inventory sources associated
  • Basic business partner information completed

Step-by-Step Setup:

Step 1: Create a Business Partner for Inventory

  1. Open business partner details (one that has inventory associated)
  2. Complete basic business partner information
  3. No additional sellers.json configuration needed for ads.txt

Step 2: Configure Seller ID (Optional)

  • Default Behavior: Uses business partner ID automatically
  • Legacy Override: Enter the existing seller ID in the "Seller Json Id" field if needed
  • Result: This ID appears in ads.txt records

Step 3: Generate and Share ads.txt Records

  1. In the Business Partners grid, find the "Supply Ads.txt" column
  2. Click the "View" link for your inventory business partner
  3. The pop-up window shows the generated ads.txt content
  4. Use the Copy icon to copy content
  5. Send copied content to your inventory partner
  6. Partner adds these records to their ads.txt file

 

Setting Up SCHAIN Support (Advanced)

Requirements for SCHAIN Features:

  • A business partner must have inventory sources associated
  • "Activate Seller JSON" switch must be enabled
  • All mandatory sellers.json fields must be completed

Step-by-Step SCHAIN Setup:

Step 1: Enable sellers.json for SCHAIN

  1. Open business partner details (one that has inventory associated)
  2. Activate the "Activate Seller JSON" switch
  3. Complete all mandatory sellers.json fields:
    • Business information
    • Contact details
    • Technical specifications
  4. Mark for sellers.json inclusion (if you want this business partner in your sellers.json file)

Step 2: Configure Seller ID for SCHAIN

  • Default Behavior: Uses business partner ID automatically
  • Legacy Override: Enter the existing seller ID in the "Seller Json Id" field if needed
  • Result: This ID is used in SCHAIN values and (if marked) sellers.json file
  • SCHAIN values are automatically sent to advertisers in bid requests per IAB protocol

Step 3: Generate sellers.json File (If You Have the ads.txt Management Module)

  • Use the ads.txt Management module to create the sellers.json file
  • File includes all business partners marked for inclusion
  • Upload the sellers.json file to your configured domain

 

What Gets Generated for Inventory Partners

ads.txt Content (Available for All Inventory Business Partners):

  • Your account information as an authorized seller
  • Business partner ID (or legacy value) as account identifier
  • Proper formatting for the inventory partner's ads.txt file
  • No sellers.json setup required

SCHAIN Integration (Automatic When sellers.json is Activated):

  • SCHAIN values are automatically sent to advertisers in bid requests when sellers.json is activated (You can override this preference on the Advertiser level).
  • IAB Protocol Compliance: Follows IAB regulation and SCHAIN protocol requirements
  • Includes proper supply chain path information
  • References your sellers.json domain (configured by account manager)


sellers.json File creation (Only When Activated and Module Available):

  • Business partner information can be marked for inclusion in your sellers.json file
  • Requires the ads.txt Management module to create the sellers.json file
  • Uses business partner ID or legacy value as seller identifier
  • Includes business information you provided for marked business partners
