Understanding Tech Fees

What is a tech fee? A tech fee is a percentage deducted from an advertiser's bids, typically used when:

  • The advertiser sends gross bid prices
  • Your platform applies a universal fee to all bids

How to set it up:

  • Enter the percentage in the "tech fee" field (default is 0%)
  • This fee will be automatically deducted from all the advertiser's bids

What you'll see in reporting:

  • Spend: The net amount after tech fee deduction
  • Gross Spend: The original amount before deduction

Pro tip: You can set a default tech fee for your entire account in Settings > Pricing section, saving you time when creating new advertisers.

Quick Troubleshooting

Can't see other tabs after filling in General info? Make sure you clicked "Save" after completing the General tab.

Red lines appearing next to fields? These indicate mandatory fields that must be completed before you can save.

Need to change the tech fee later? You can modify this in the advertiser's General tab at any time.
