# Getting Started with a DSP account

*Availability: DSP accounts and PE Enterprise account -> DSP activity*

## Overview

This guide explains the essential steps to set up your DSP account and launch your first Campaign.

You can view details on your [account entity hierarchy here](/gamoshi-wiki/general-information/gamoshi-dsp-entity-structure-and-campaign-strategy-guide.md).

Complete the setup in the following order:

{% step %}

## Step 1: Configure General Settings

Navigate to **Settings** from the side menu and configure the account-level preferences.

### Date and Time Settings

Select the account’s:

* Date format.
* Time zone.

{% hint style="info" %}

### Default Tech Fee

You can enter a default Tech Fee percentage when a universal fee should apply to Advertiser bids.

Account-level settings provide defaults that can later be overridden at the applicable Advertiser or Inventory level.

### Understanding the Tech Fee

**What it is:** A tech fee is a percentage deducted from an advertiser's bids. It's typically used when:

* The advertiser sends gross bid prices to you, or
* You wish to apply a universal fee across all bids.

#### How to configure it

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Enter the Tech Fee

Enter the percentage in the **Tech Fee** field (default is 0%).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Apply the fee

The fee is automatically deducted from all of the advertiser's bids.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

#### Use cases

* Your agency deducts a fee from an advertiser's or buyer's gross spend. Set a default **Tech Fee** percentage in your account's **General** settings. It applies to each new advertiser.
* An advertiser or buyer deducts a percentage from gross spend. Set their **Tech Fee** percentage in that advertiser's **General** settings.
* A PE account receives gross bids from an SSP through an S2S buyer. Enter the SSP's margin as the advertiser's **Tech Fee**. Reporting then reflects the difference between gross and net bids.

#### How it appears in reporting

* **Spend** – the net amount after tech fee deduction.
* **Gross Spend** – the original amount before deduction.
  {% endhint %}

## Step 2: Create business partners

A business partner is your account's parent entity. It groups advertisers and grants partners access to Analytics.

Business partners in DSP Pro accounts or higher can also:

* Organize inventory sources.
* Manage `ads.txt` records for inventory sources.
* Manage SCHAIN information.

Create a Business Partner when:

* A client or partner needs Analytics access.
* You manage an external inventory source's `ads.txt` records.
* You need to group multiple advertisers or inventory entities.

Creating a business partner is optional. Use one to organize related entities.

For instructions, see the [Business Partners](/gamoshi-wiki/core-entities/business-partners.md).

## Step 3: Set up inventory sources

### GamoshiX Marketplace

GamoshiX Marketplace inventory is preconfigured and provides access to available marketplace traffic.

New campaigns use the **All Traffic** virtual audience by default. It includes every inventory source in your account, including GamoshiX Marketplace.

On the campaign's [**Filtering and Targeting**](/gamoshi-wiki/general-information/advertiser-and-campaign-filters.md) and [**Lists**](/gamoshi-wiki/general-information/lists-types.md) tabs, refine eligible traffic.

### External Inventory

{% hint style="info" %}
**Availability:** DSP Pro accounts or higher.
{% endhint %}

Use external inventory for direct publishers, SSPs, or custom integrations.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Create the inventory entity

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Configure its integration type

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Configure its pricing and targeting

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Generate integration components for the partner

{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

External inventory becomes available through the **All Traffic** virtual audience.

For instructions, see the [Inventory](/gamoshi-wiki/core-entities/inventory.md).

## Step 4: Create an Advertiser

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Click the **+** button in the top-right corner of the table

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Complete the Advertiser’s **General** tab

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Click **Save**

{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important:** Complete and save the General tab before the remaining configuration tabs become available.
{% endhint %}

## Step 6: Add creatives

Creatives are the ads displayed to users, including banners, videos, and native ads.

Each creative belongs to a specific advertiser and can be associated with one or more of that advertiser’s campaigns. A creative can serve only when it is associated with an active and running campaign.

### Supported formats

This guide covers these creative formats:

* **Banner:** Image or HTML. Use [How to Use Gamoshi Creative Studio](/gamoshi-wiki/how-to-guides/how-to-use-gamoshi-creative-studio.md) to create banners.
* **Video:** Video file or VAST.
* **Native:** HTML. Use [How to Create Native Banner Creatives](/gamoshi-wiki/how-to-guides/how-to-create-native-banner-creatives.md) to create native creatives.

### Create and associate a creative

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open the advertiser’s **Creatives** tab

### Add the required ad content

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Associate the creative with the relevant campaign

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Set the creative’s status to **Active**

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Save the creative

{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

For instructions, see [How to create a Creative](/gamoshi-wiki/how-to-guides/how-to-create-a-creative.md).

## Step 7: Monitor Performance

After the Campaign begins receiving traffic, use the [**Analytics Module** ](/gamoshi-wiki/analytics.md)to monitor its activity.

### Today Screen

Use the **Today** screen to review current trends and hourly run rates.

### BI Screen

Use the **BI** screen to build reports with the required filters, dimensions, and metrics.

### Conversions Screen

Use the **Conversions** screen to review campaign conversions.

***

## Create Analytics Users

Creating Analytics Users is optional.

Analytics Users receive limited Analytics access to the data associated with a specific Business Partner.

To create an Analytics User:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Navigate to the **Users Module > Analytics Users**

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Click the **+** button

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Enter the user’s information

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Associate the user with the required Business Partner

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Send the invitation

{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}
