# How to manage users' roles and permissions

## Availability

*User roles and permissions are available in:*

* *DSP accounts.*
* *PE Enterprise accounts.*

## Overview

This article explains the user roles and permission structure within the Gamoshi Dashboard.

Roles determine each user’s access scope, administrative capabilities, and data visibility. The available roles depend on the services enabled for the account.

## Accessing and Editing User Roles

To view a Regular User’s assigned roles:

### Navigate to Regular Users

Navigate to **User Module > Regular Users**.

### Locate the user

Locate the relevant user.

### Review assigned roles

Review the permissions displayed in the **Roles** column.

Only users with the **Manage Users** permission can modify user access rights.

To update a user’s roles:

### Locate the user

Locate the user in the Regular Users list.

### Edit roles

Click **Edit** in the **Roles** column.

### Update permissions

Update the user’s assigned permissions.

## Administrative and Organizational Roles

These roles control account administration, user management, and organizational structure.

### Manage Users

**Purpose:** Full account administration and access management.

**Capabilities:** Users with this role can manage both Regular Users and Analytics Users. They can:

* Invite new users.
* Revoke user access.
* Modify permissions for any user in the organization.

### Manage Analytics Users

**Purpose:** Delegated administration of external or partner-facing users.

**Capabilities:** Users with this role can create and manage Analytics Users.

This permission does not allow them to modify Regular Users or their permissions.

### Business Partners

**Purpose:** Management of organizational structure and data segregation.

**Capabilities:** Grants access to the **Business Partner Module**. Users can:

* Create and organize Business Partner entities.
* Associate Business Partners with specific Advertisers.
* Associate Business Partners with specific Inventory sources.
* Associate Analytics Users with the relevant Business Partners.

These associations determine which data is available to each Analytics User.

## Media and Data Roles

These roles control content uploads, asset hosting, video streaming, and contextual targeting data.

### Upload to CDN

**Purpose:** Management of static assets hosted on the Content Delivery Network.

**Capabilities:** Allows users to upload the following files directly to the CDN:

* Video.
* Audio.
* Images.

### Upload Stream

**Purpose:** Adaptive video delivery.

**Capabilities:** Allows users to upload and transcode video files for adaptive bitrate streaming across supported devices.

### Data Management

**Purpose:** Management of contextual targeting data.

**Capabilities:** Allows users to view contextual targeting lists and associate them with specific assets or campaigns.

## Financial Management Roles

These roles control access to financial information and fee configuration.

### Tech Fee

**Purpose:** Management and visibility of technical fees.

**Capabilities:**

* Define default Tech Fees at the account or Advertiser level.
* View **Spend** and **eCPM** metrics in addition to **Gross Spend** and **Gross eCPM**.

### Balance

**Purpose:** Visibility into the DSP account balance.

**Capabilities:** Provides read-only access to the remaining balance of the DSP account.

## Geographic and Location Roles

### Geo Location Maps

**Purpose:** Geographic data visualization.

**Capabilities:** Grants access to the interactive **Map View** in the Analytics module, where users can view performance data geographically.

## Analytics Users

Analytics Users are a specialized user type intended to provide external parties with restricted access to specific analytics data.

They are managed under **User Module > Analytics Users** and are separate from Regular Users.

### Purpose

Analytics Users provide limited data visibility to third parties, such as clients or vendors, without granting access to account-management functionality.

### Data Access

Each Analytics User can view analytics data only for the Advertisers and Inventory sources associated with their assigned Business Partner.

### Restrictions

Analytics Users have read-only access. They cannot:

* View data belonging to other Business Partners.
* Access campaign-management tools.
* Modify campaigns or other account settings.
