# Business Partners

***Availability:** All accounts.*

## Overview

The **Business Partners** module allows you to create and manage the business entities associated with your account.

A Business Partner is the administrative root of your account entities hierarchy and can be associated with Advertisers, Inventory entities, or both.

For more information about the relationship between Business Partners, Advertisers, Campaigns, and Creatives, refer to the [Entity Structure and Campaign Strategy Guide](/gamoshi-wiki/general-information/gamoshi-dsp-entity-structure-and-campaign-strategy-guide.md).

**Business Partners are used to:**

* Manage Analytics access for partners and their associated entities.
* Provide aggregated performance data across associated Advertisers and Inventory entities.
* Manage identifiers used with different supply exchanges.
* Manage ads.txt records for Inventory partners.
* Configure SCHAIN and sellers.json information for Inventory partners.

### Features by Business Partner Type

Navigate to the Business Partners module
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Locate the Business Partner
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Select the Advertisers and Inventory entities to associate with the Business Partner.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

These associations determine the data available to the Business Partner’s Analytics Users.

## Analytics User Management

### What Is an Analytics User?

An Analytics User is a user who receives limited dashboard access to view performance data for a specific Business Partner.

Analytics Users can be created for Business Partners associated with:

* Advertisers.
* Inventory entities.
* Both Advertisers and Inventory entities.

### Analytics Access Scope

Analytics Users can access only the data belonging to the Advertisers and Inventory entities associated with their Business Partner.

They cannot view data belonging to other Business Partners in the account.

Analytics Users see the **Analytics view only** when they sign in to the Gamoshi dashboard.

### Analytics User Use Cases

Analytics User access can be used to:

* Give Advertiser clients access to their campaign performance.
* Allow Inventory partners to view their traffic and revenue data.
* Give team members access to specific client accounts.
* Allow third-party vendors to monitor the accounts they manage.

## ads.txt and SCHAIN Management

### ads.txt

ads.txt is an industry standard that allows Inventory partners to identify authorized sellers of their Inventory.

The platform generates the ads.txt records that an Inventory Business Partner can add to its ads.txt file.

### SCHAIN

SCHAIN, or SupplyChain Object, is an IAB protocol used to send supply-chain transparency information to Advertisers in bid requests.

When sellers.json is activated for a Business Partner, SCHAIN values are automatically sent to Advertisers. This preference can be overridden at the Advertiser level.

### sellers.json

sellers.json identifies the entities authorized to sell a publisher’s Inventory.

Business Partner information can be marked for inclusion in the account’s sellers.json file when sellers.json is activated, and the ads.txt Management module is available.

## Business Partner Identifiers

When an Inventory entity is associated with a Business Partner, the system creates a consistent identifier using the following values:

**Customer ID + Business Partner ID = Universal Identifier**

This identifier is used as:

| **Identifier** | **Application**                                      |
| -------------- | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| Publisher ID | Sent to Advertisers in bid requests. |
| Seller ID | Used in the sellers.json file. |
| Account ID     | Included in the Inventory partner’s ads.txt records. |

### Using an Existing Seller ID

If the Inventory partner already uses an existing Seller ID, enter that value in the **Seller JSON ID** field when creating or editing the Business Partner.

The entered value replaces the Business Partner ID to maintain consistency with existing ads.txt and sellers.json records.

## Configuring ads.txt Records

### Requirements

To generate ads.txt records:

* The Business Partner must be associated with at least one Inventory entity.
* The Business Partner’s basic information must be completed.

A sellers.json configuration is not required to generate ads.txt records.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Configure the Business Partner

1. Open a Business Partner associated with Inventory.
2. Complete its basic information.
3. Save the Business Partner.
   {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Configure the Seller ID

The Business Partner ID is used by default.

To use an existing identifier instead, enter it in the **Seller JSON ID** field. This value will appear in the generated ads.txt records.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### View and Share the ads.txt Records

1. Navigate to the Business Partners table.
2. Locate the required Inventory Business Partner.
3. Find the **Supply Ads.txt** column.
4. Click **View**.
5. Review the generated ads.txt content in the window that appears.
6. Click the **Copy** icon.
7. Send the copied records to the Inventory partner.

The Inventory partner must add these records to its ads.txt file.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Configuring SCHAIN

### Requirements

To activate SCHAIN for a Business Partner:

* The Business Partner must be associated with Inventory.
* Enable the ***Activate Seller JSON*** switch.

   * Contact details.
   * Technical specifications.
4. Mark the Business Partner for sellers.json inclusion when it should appear in the sellers.json file.
5. Save the Business Partner.
   {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Configure the Seller ID

By default, the Business Partner ID is used in the SCHAIN value.

To use an existing Seller ID, enter it in the ***Seller JSON ID*** field. The entered value is used in SCHAIN and, when the Business Partner is marked for inclusion, in sellers.json.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Create the sellers.json File

If the account has the **ads.txt Management** module:

1. Use the module to create the sellers.json file.
2. Confirm that the required Business Partners are marked for inclusion.
3. Upload the generated file to the configured domain.

* The records required for the Inventory partner’s ads.txt file.

{% hint style="info" %}

* SCHAIN values are automatically sent to Advertisers in bid requests.
* The supply-chain path information is included.
* The values reference the sellers.json domain configured by the Account Manager.
